Microsoft Teams Hot Keys

In the Teams search box, type the slash command /keys

Add a Chat link to your signature block, msteams://dod.teams.microsoft.us/l/chat/0/0?users=first.last@us.af.mil

  • You can control Teams with the top search bar with a “/”
  • For example, if you want to chat with someone, no need to click all over. Simply type, “/chat Stefan Choquette What are you doing?”
  • A new chat will open with Stefan and a message will be sent asking what he is doing

You can quickly get the list just by typing “/” and a help list will appear

Emojis

  • Type “Windows Key + .” on your keyboard to get a pop up with emojis
  • Search for emojis by simply typing a word and the window will update

Use the Subject Line when starting a new conversation

  • When starting a new conversation, always add a subject line. Click the font icon (the A with the pen, next to the paper clip) This will also allow you to format the body of the message.
  • Also, when replying to a conversation, use the reply button. Do not start a new conversation with your reply.

Resource Advisor Questionnaire

RPA

  • Always be able to answer the 5 W’s
    • Who – Who is going? How many PAX? What are the ranks?
    • What – What is the mission? What does it accomplish? Be able to justify
    • When – What month? How many days? Do you have the quarterly authority?
    • Where – Where are they going? Decent required? Per Diem rates? MilAir? On base?
    • Why – Is there a cheaper way to accomplish the mission, e.g. VTC? Why some many people?

O&M

  • Ask the similar 5W questions as above but put your O&M thinking cap on. Questions are slightly different, but critical thinking remains the same.
  • What are your main cashflow drivers (quarterly authority)?
    • Large contracts (IDT lodging)
    • MIPRs (utilities)
    • Civilian Pay

Air Force Banking Guide

Our on-base banks and credit unions are critical partners to the success of the financial management mission. The attached guide outlines the parameters of our partnerships and the responsibilities and duties of the banking liaison officer.

One new responsibility is the annual call for bank and/or credit union data points. This information will provide a comprehensive status of the overall Air Force/Bank/Credit Union footprint. While due by the end of June each year, we request submission of the first response to AFIMSC/RMF by 15 Oct 21.
